Confirm or decline event (RSVP)
Confirm or decline an event — directly from the overview or detail view. Optionally with a comment (for example coming late, bringing colleagues).
What is this?
With Confirm or Decline (RSVP, "Répondez s'il vous plaît") you tell your ensemble bindingly whether you will come to an event. That way your choir director can plan in time — for example secure voice distribution, schedule soloists reliably or spot bottlenecks.
How to confirm or decline
On the web:
- Open the event via the Events area
- Click "Confirm" or "Decline" in the header area
- Optional: add a reason or comment
In the app:
- Tap the event in the Events tab
- Tap directly on the large status button
- Choose your response
The response is saved immediately. Your choir director sees your confirmation in real time in the participant list.
Optional: send a comment along
You can add a short comment to your status — very useful for special circumstances:
- "Coming 15 minutes late, train"
- "Bringing colleagues from the men's choir to check it out"
- "Sick, will get back to you tomorrow morning"
- "Only there for the performance, can't make the dress rehearsal"
The comment appears with your status in the participant list and helps the choir director quickly understand what is going on.
What does each status mean?
- Confirmed — you are coming for sure, the choir director plans with you
- Declined — you cannot come, your voice is missing
- Maybe — if enabled, you do not know for sure yet
- Open — you have not yet responded (counts as non-binding)
Permission
Every member can respond to events they are invited to — no special permission needed. If you do not see an event, you are not invited.
Tips
- Respond promptly even if you have to decline — that helps planning more than late silence
- Enable push notifications in the app so you do not miss a reminder
- In case of illness decline and send a short chat to the choir director — no member list with "status: sick"
- For performances without rehearsal obligation you can confirm only the performance without having attended the rehearsal — your choir director regulates that
