Subscribe to or unsubscribe from comments

What is this?

With Subscribe to comments you get a notification as soon as someone writes a new comment on an event. That way you do not miss important hints about meeting point, dress code or program — even if you have not posted anything yourself yet. With Unsubscribe from comments you stop the notifications again.

How to subscribe or end the subscription

1. Open the event via the event list or the calendar.
2. Scroll to the "Comments" section in the event detail.
3. Click "Subscribe to comments" at the top or at the end of the comment list.
4. To unsubscribe click in the same place on "Unsubscribe from comments". The button switches automatically depending on the current status.
5. Alternatively: via the link at the end of every comment notification email you can unsubscribe with one click.

When is a subscription worth it?

• For concerts with many detail questions — directions, dress code, warm-up meeting point
• When as a section leader or board member you have to answer questions
• For away trips or travel where many arrangements come up
• For events you are actively involved in — tasks, carpools, materials

Permission

Every invited member can subscribe to or unsubscribe from comments on "their" events — you do not need any special permission. The subscription applies only to you personally and does not affect other members.

Tips

• Subscribe to all performances by default — organizational clarification is densest here.
• Unsubscribe from routine rehearsals if you only want to follow the truly important discussions.
• Set in your profile whether comment notifications should come via push, email or both.
• For digest emails: Chorilo bundles multiple new comments on an event into a single email so your inbox does not overflow.
• When you are temporarily away (vacation), you can pause all notifications in your profile instead of unsubscribing from individual events.
