View event comments

What is this?

In the Comments section of an event you see all posts members have written so far about the rehearsal, performance or concert. This is where things get asked, clarified and coordinated — for example about directions, dress code, music passages or the meeting point on site.

How to view the comments

1. Open the Events area in the main menu.
2. Click the desired event in the list or in the calendar.
3. Scroll to the "Comments" section in the event detail. In the app you tap the "Comments" tab.
4. Read through the thread — the comments are sorted chronologically.
5. Reply directly via the input field at the end of the list if you want to contribute something.

What you can see

• Author and timestamp of each comment
• Profile picture of the member for quick recognition
• Reactions (likes) by other members
• Replies to individual comments as a thread below
• Attachments like images or files, if someone sent something along
• "Edited" hint when a comment has been modified afterwards

Permission

You need the events.view permission on the event. By default all members invited to the event have this. Without an invitation you do not see the event and therefore not the comments either.

Tips

• Subscribe to important events so you do not miss new comments — especially for concerts with many detail questions.
• Read through the comments briefly before the rehearsal to be prepared for new hints about meeting point, dress code or order of events.
• Reply to questions promptly — many members check in several times a day, a quick clarification saves duplicate questions.
• Use likes instead of "thanks" comments to keep the thread tidy.
• For sensitive topics, better a direct conversation or a notification to the board than a public comment.
