Duplicate event
Create a copy of an existing event — with all properties, sheet music and tasks. Saves time for recurring performances or similar rehearsals.
Diese Funktion ist nur im Web verfügbar.
What is this?
With Duplicate you create a complete copy of an existing event — with all properties, linked sheet music and tasks, but without the attendance and comments of the original. Practical when you are planning a similar event, for example a follow-up rehearsal or a follow-up concert with the same program.
How to duplicate an event
- Open the event you want to copy.
- Click "Duplicate" in the menu at the top right.
- Adjust date, time and venue if needed — the original date is only a suggestion.
- Save the new event. Members receive a notification about the new event (just like with a normally created one).
What is carried over
- Title (with "(Copy)" or a suffix of your choice)
- Description
- Venue
- Participant selection (voices, roles, individual members)
- Linked sheet music
- Attachments and files
- Tasks
- Visibility settings
- Ticketing configuration (categories, layout, without orders)
What is not carried over
- Attendance / RSVPs
- Comments and discussions
- Reminders already sent
- Sold tickets
When to duplicate instead of create new?
- Follow-up concert with the same program: same setup, different stage — perfect for duplicating
- Repeat rehearsal after a cancellation due to illness: quickly a second date with the same content
- Performance in several cities: tour dates with identical schedule
If you want to create a regularly recurring event (for example weekly rehearsal), use the repeat option in normal creation instead.
Permission
You need events.edit to duplicate events — the same permission as for creating.
Tip
When duplicating a performance with ticketing, the ticket configuration is copied, but all tickets are available again. You can adjust prices and categories before sales start for the new event.
