Ticket Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-04-15
These terms govern the purchase of tickets for events (in particular concerts and other leisure events) through the Chorilo platform. They apply exclusively to ticket purchases and operate independently of the general Chorilo Terms of Service.
1. Contractual partner
The ticket purchase contract is concluded exclusively between the buyer and Chorilo. Chorilo is operated by: Chorilo – Melanie Schneider, Tränkstraße 3, 65558 Holzheim, Germany. Contact: support@chorilo.com. The respective organizer (choir/ensemble) is not a contractual partner of the buyer.
2. Subject matter
The subject is the purchase of one or more tickets for an event offered on the Chorilo platform. The ticket entitles the holder to admission to the named event under the conditions stated at the time of purchase (date, time, location, price category, seat where applicable).
3. Prices and VAT
All prices stated are final prices in euros. Chorilo currently applies the small-business scheme pursuant to § 19 German VAT Act (UStG) and does not charge VAT. Service fees for payment processing are shown separately during checkout if they are borne by the buyer.
4. Order process and contract formation
By clicking the button labelled "Order with obligation to pay", the buyer makes a binding order. The contract is formed upon receipt of the order confirmation by email. Prior express acceptance of these Ticket Terms of Use and acknowledgement of the Privacy Policy is required.
5. Payment
Payment is processed via the payment service provider Stripe. Accepted payment methods follow from the Stripe selection (including credit card, SEPA direct debit, Apple Pay, Google Pay). Stripe's payment terms apply.
6. Ticket delivery
The ticket is sent as a PDF with QR code to the buyer's email address immediately after successful payment. The buyer is obliged to provide a correct, deliverable email address. The respective organizer (choir/ensemble) also has access to the purchased tickets and can resend the ticket to the buyer upon request. Alternatively, Chorilo can arrange for redelivery upon proof of identity.
7. Exclusion of the right of withdrawal
There is no statutory right of withdrawal. Pursuant to § 312g para. 2 no. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB), the right of withdrawal is excluded for contracts for the provision of services in connection with leisure activities (including concerts and other leisure events) that specify a particular date or period. The buyer is expressly informed of this exclusion during checkout and in these terms.
8. Cancellation and rescheduling
If the event is cancelled or rescheduled to such an extent that holding on to the ticket is unreasonable, the buyer will receive a full refund of the amount paid. Refunds are made via the same payment method used for the original payment. For minor changes (e.g. postponement by less than 60 minutes or location change within the same city) the ticket remains valid.
9. Admission and ticket validity
The ticket must be presented at the entrance on the day of the event (digitally or printed). Each ticket / QR code is valid only once. The organizer is entitled to refuse admission if misuse is suspected; for personalized tickets, proof of identity may be required.
10. Resale
Commercial resale of tickets, in particular above the original price, is not permitted. Private transfer at or below the original price is allowed.
11. Liability
Chorilo is liable in accordance with statutory provisions in cases of intent and gross negligence as well as for injury to life, body or health. For slightly negligent breaches of material contractual obligations, liability is limited to damages foreseeable at the time of contract formation and typical for the type of contract. Liability for the performance of the event itself (artistic quality, safety at the venue, etc.) lies with the respective organizer.
12. Data protection
The buyer's personal data (name, email, optionally phone number) are processed to fulfil the contract. Name and email address, together with the ticket number, are shared with the organizer (choir/ensemble) so that they can contact the buyer in case of queries, changes or cancellation of the event and resend tickets on request. Further information is available in the Privacy Policy.
13. Dispute resolution
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR): https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Chorilo is not willing or obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
14. Applicable law, place of jurisdiction
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which the consumer has their habitual residence remain unaffected. For consumers, the statutory place of jurisdiction applies.
15. Final provisions
Should individual provisions be invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. These Ticket Terms of Use are available in German and English; in case of conflict, the German version shall prevail.
