What is this?

The AI program suggestion helps you put together a coherent music program for an event — for example a concert, a wedding or an Advent service. The AI analyzes your repertoire and the occasion and proposes a sensible order.

How to use the suggestion

  1. Open the event you are planning a program for.
  2. Click "AI program suggestion" in the sheet music section.
  3. Describe the occasion briefly: concert, church service, wedding, gala etc. — the more precise, the better.
  4. Choose the desired duration (for example 45 minutes of concert program).
  5. Get the suggestion with a justification per piece (why it fits the occasion).
  6. Accept individual pieces or the entire program with one click.

How the AI selects

Considered are:

  • Occasion and mood: festive, contemplative, secular, sacred
  • Voice distribution: SATB, SAB, men's choir, women's choir — matching pieces
  • Duration: consecutive pieces add up to the desired total length
  • Keys: harmonic transitions between pieces
  • Tempo changes: dynamics in the program (slow-fast-slow)
  • Languages: matching the occasion (for example Latin for church, English for a folk-song concert)

What you can do

  • Swap individual pieces — the AI suggests alternatives from your repertoire
  • Change the order — by drag and drop
  • Reject pieces — they will no longer be considered for this suggestion
  • Save the program — it gets linked to the event and members see it
  • Export the program — as a PDF for the concert program booklet

Permission

You need events.edit to use the AI program suggestion. By default, choir directors and the board have this permission.

Tips

  • Maintain your repertoire with metadata (composer, duration, key, genre) — the more complete the information, the better the suggestions.
  • Start early — the first suggestion is rarely the final one. Plan time for fine-tuning.
  • Combine with human taste — the AI knows the data, you know the members, the audience and the acoustics of the venue.

Frequently asked questions

How does the suggestion work?
An AI analyzes your existing sheet music library, the voice distribution of your ensemble and the occasion of the event (for example concert, church service, wedding) and proposes a fitting program order.
Are the pieces assigned to the event automatically?
No. You receive a suggestion and can accept, reject or swap individual pieces. Only when you click "Apply" are the pieces linked to the event.
What data does the AI see?
Only the sheet music metadata (title, composer, duration, key, genre) of your ensemble and the public information about the event. No member data, no audio files.
