Edit content of the public website
Adjust content, texts, images and design of your public choir website. Embed custom pages, news posts and photo galleries.
Diese Funktion ist nur im Web verfügbar.
What is this?
With the website editor you maintain all content of your public choir website — texts, images, custom pages, design, news posts. While the standard data (logo, concerts, board) is automatically taken from your choir, here you design everything beyond the standard pages.
What you can edit:
- Hero area of the home page — image, title, subtitle, CTA
- "About us" texts — history, values, identity
- Custom pages (e.g. donations, press)
- News posts for concerts or special events
- Photo galleries for past concerts
- Audio samples embedded (e.g. SoundCloud, Spotify)
- Colors and typography matched to your logo
- Footer content (imprint, privacy, social links)
How to edit content
- Open your choir and go to Administration > Public website > Edit.
- Choose a page from the page overview (home, about us, concerts etc.).
- Click a block to edit it — text, image, gallery, video.
- Add new blocks via the plus icon.
- Sort blocks via drag and drop.
- Save the page. Changes are immediately live.
What you can do on every page
- Text blocks with headings (H1-H6), lists, links
- Image blocks with caption and alt text
- Photo galleries as grid or slider
- Video blocks (embedded via YouTube/Vimeo link)
- Audio player (own MP3 or stream link)
- Event blocks (e.g. only the next 3 concerts)
- Board blocks (alphabetical or sorted by role)
- Contact forms
- Donation buttons
SEO optimization
Per page you can maintain SEO data:
- Page title (browser tab and Google result)
- Meta description (snippet in search result)
- Open Graph image (preview for social media links)
- URL slug (meaningful URL ending)
A sitemap is automatically generated and delivered to search engines.
Permission
You need the permission ensemble.edit to edit website content. By default the owner and choir director have this access.
Tips
- Keep texts short and clear — website visitors skim, they do not read. Short paragraphs, meaningful headings.
- Invest in good images — one high-quality hero photo has more impact than three mediocre ones.
- Update news regularly — an outdated website (last news from 2022) signals inactivity.
- Maintain required information carefully: imprint and privacy are legally required in Germany.
- Test on smartphone — most visitors come mobile. Long texts and small buttons often work poorly on the phone.
