What is this?

The choirs list shows you on one overview all choirs and ensembles you are registered as a member of. It is your central entry point when you are active in multiple choirs at the same time — for example as a singer in a main choir and at the same time in a project choir, or as a choir director of multiple groups.

For every choir you see at a glance:

  • Name and logo of the choir
  • Number of members
  • Your role (e.g. member, choir director, board)
  • Next events as quick info

How to use the overview

  1. Open the Choirs area in the main menu.
  2. Click a choir to switch directly to its overview. All events, announcements and sheet music thereafter relate to the selected choir.
  3. Use the choir switcher at the top left to quickly jump between choirs without going via the list.
  4. Create a new choir by clicking "+ Create ensemble" at the top right.

Manage multiple choirs

When you are a member of multiple choirs at the same time, the list helps you keep an overview:

  • Dashboard shows everything: the personal dashboard summarizes events and tasks from all your choirs.
  • Notifications per choir: you can control email and push notifications for each choir individually if not everything interests you equally.
  • Quick switch: the choir switcher at the top left is available everywhere so you can switch context any time.

Permission

Every member automatically has the permission ensemble.view for their own choirs — you do not have to set anything up. The list only shows you choirs you are actually a member of.

Tips

  • Set a logo for every choir — that way you recognize your choirs in the list immediately. Logos are set by the choir director under "Settings > Edit choir".
  • When you are only in one choir, Chorilo automatically jumps there after sign-in. You then only need the list when you want to create another choir or follow a join invitation.
  • Leave old choirs where you are no longer active — that keeps your list clean. The choir director can remove you on request.

Frequently asked questions

In how many choirs can I be a member at the same time?
There is no upper limit. You can be a member of any number of choirs at the same time — whether main choir, project choir, chamber choir or board group.
How do I switch between my choirs?
Click a choir in the list or use the choir switcher at the top left. All data (events, sheet music, members) is shown immediately for the selected choir.
Why don't I see a choir in my list?
Either you are not a member there (any more) or the join request has not yet been approved. Reach out to the choir director or board of the relevant choir.
