View member list
See all members of your choir on an overview — with voice, role, function and contact data. Filter and sort by all criteria.
Diese Funktion ist nur im Web verfügbar.
What is this?
The member list shows you all members of your choir in a clear table. It is the central place when you want to know who sings in the choir, which voice someone has or who currently holds which role. You can filter, sort and search by all important criteria.
For each member you see:
- Name and profile picture
- Voice (e.g. soprano 1, alto 2)
- Role (e.g. music librarian, treasurer)
- Permission group (e.g. member, board, choir director)
- Join date in the choir
- Status (active, inactive, on leave)
- Contact data (email, phone — depending on visibility)
How to use the list
- Open your choir and click "Members" in the left menu.
- Search or filter: by name, voice, role, permission group or status. The filters combine.
- Sort the columns by clicking the column header (alphabetical, by join date, by voice).
- Click a member to view their profile in detail or edit it.
- Use the bulk actions at the top (e.g. "Send everyone an announcement", "Export as Excel/CSV/PDF") when you want to address multiple members at once.
Customize columns
Via the columns icon at the top right you can choose which fields are shown in the table. Examples for additional columns:
- Birthday and age
- Phone/mobile number
- Address
- Custom member fields (e.g. "desk number", "stay overnight at performance")
- Attendance rate of the last 12 months
Permission
You need the permission members.view to see the member list. By default all members have this. Some detail fields are only visible to the choir director and board — for example private addresses, birth dates or notes.
Tips
- Save your favorite filters: frequently used filter combinations (e.g. "All male voices", "New members this year") you can save as views.
- Keep voices and roles current — they are the basis for targeted events and announcements to subgroups.
- Use the Excel or CSV export for external evaluations or as a backup. Anyone reporting to a choir association cannot avoid this list.
- Mark former members as inactive instead of deleting them — that way the singer history is preserved and anniversaries are calculated correctly.
