What is this?

The choir overview is the profile page of your choir within Chorilo. It is the central place when you switch to your choir — and shows you all important info at a glance. Members see immediately which choir they are currently in, what is upcoming and how to reach the most important features.

What you find in the overview:

  • Logo, name and short description of the choir
  • Address and contact data
  • Member count (for authorized users)
  • Next events as quick info
  • Latest announcements
  • Quick access to members, sheet music, cashbook etc.
  • Choir association status (if linked)

How to use the overview

  1. Open your choir via the choirs list or the choir switcher.
  2. Click "Overview" in the left menu — usually the first entry and automatically selected.
  3. Use the quick action tiles to jump directly to events, members, sheet music or announcements.
  4. Update base data via the "Edit" button — you land directly in the choir settings.

What the different areas mean

  • Header area: shows logo, name and description — the visual identifier of your choir.
  • Quick info tiles: next events, latest announcements, upcoming tasks.
  • Member statistics: number of members, optionally broken down by voices.
  • Links: choir association, public website, subscription status — visible depending on permission.

Permission

Every member of the choir can view the overview (ensemble.view). Some detail tiles are tied to additional permissions — for example the member count to members.view, the subscription info to ensemble.edit.

Tips

  • Keep the description short and crisp — it is also used on the public website and is your first impression.
  • Upload a high-quality logo — it shapes the look of the overview decisively.
  • Use the quick actions instead of the main menu when you keep jumping to the same function — saves clicks.
  • Check contact data regularly — new interested people reach you via the contacts shown in the overview.

Frequently asked questions

Who sees the choir overview?
All members of the choir. Some fields (e.g. internal notes) are only visible to the choir director — members see the public base data.
Can I customize the contents of the overview?
The most important data comes directly from the base data. Logo, description, address and contact data you adjust under Settings > Edit choir — the overview updates automatically.
Why don't I see the member count?
The member count is only visible to members with the permission members.view. Reach out to the choir director if you need this permission.
