What is this?

Switching plan adjusts your Chorilo subscription to your choir's current needs. Management runs entirely through the Stripe billing portal — secure, transparent and with all legal information.

Available actions in the billing portal:

  • Switch monthly ↔ annual (same features, different billing)
  • Add sub-ensemble (€33/year, only with annual plan)
  • Activate banking add-on (optional, Germany)
  • Change payment method (SEPA, card)
  • Adjust billing address
  • Cancel subscription at the end of the period

How to switch plan

  1. Open your choir and go to Administration > Subscription.
  2. Click "Go to billing portal". The Stripe portal opens in a new tab.
  3. Select "Change plan", "Cancel subscription" or "Update payment method".
  4. Confirm the change.
  5. You receive a confirmation email with all details.

Monthly vs. annual

Both plans contain every feature — members, events, sheet music, cashbook, website, app, AI features, voice trainer, music shop. No tier model.

Book a sub-ensemble

Does your association have several choirs (e.g. youth choir, project choir, chamber choir)? Then book a sub-ensemble for €33/year — only possible if the parent choir is on the annual plan.

Benefits:

  • Separate member list per sub-ensemble
  • Separate events, sheet music, communication
  • Joint administration by the parent association
  • Significantly cheaper than a second full subscription

Activate banking add-on

The banking add-on connects your association bank account directly with the Chorilo cashbook — automatic bank reconciliation, PSD2 compliant, currently Germany only. Activation happens at checkout or through the billing portal.

Cancellation

In the billing portal via "Cancel subscription". Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Until then you continue to use all features. Data is preserved permanently and reactivation is possible any time.

Permission

You need the ensemble.edit permission. By default the owner and choir director have this access. For associations with a board: discuss plan changes with the board if they affect association finances.

Tips

  • Switching to annual saves €20 per year and unlocks sub-ensembles.
  • Several choirs of one association → parent choir on annual plan + €33/year per additional sub-ensemble.
  • Before cancelling, export important data (members, cashbook, sheet music) — even though everything is preserved.
  • Banking add-on is particularly worthwhile with many member fees via direct debit.

Frequently asked questions

Which plan changes are possible?
You can switch between Monthly (€10/month/choir) and Annual (€100/year/choir), add a sub-ensemble (€33/year) or activate/deactivate the banking add-on. There are no tier levels like Free/Starter/Premium — all features are included in every plan.
Where do I change the plan?
In the subscription overview click "Go to billing portal". This opens the Stripe customer portal where you can switch plan, cancel or manage add-ons.
When does a change take effect?
Switch from monthly to annual: immediately, with the already paid monthly amount credited pro rata. Switch from annual back to monthly: at the end of the running annual period so you fully use the paid time.
How do I cancel the subscription?
In the billing portal you find the option "Cancel subscription". Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — data is preserved, you can reactivate any time.
