Activate public choir website
Activate the free public website of your choir — with rehearsal times, concerts, board and contact form. Own subdomain included.
Diese Funktion ist nur im Web verfügbar.
What is this?
With the public website you get a full choir website without having to program one yourself. The website pulls all content automatically from your Chorilo choir: logo, description, concert dates, board, contact data. You do not have to maintain anything twice.
What the website typically shows:
- Home page with choir logo and short description
- About us — history, values, choir type
- Concerts — upcoming public events, automatically updated
- Board & choir director — with roles
- Rehearsal times and rehearsal location
- Contact with form and address
- Join — directly to the invitation link
- Optional: photo gallery, audio samples, news
How to activate the website
- Open your choir and go to Administration > Public website.
- Click "Activate website".
- Choose a subdomain — e.g.
my-choir.chorilo.app. The subdomain has to be unique. - Set which areas should be visible: concerts, board, join link.
- Click "Activate". The website is immediately live.
- Share the link with your community, on social media and in newsletters.
What is automatically taken over
From Chorilo the website automatically pulls:
- Logo, name, description from the choir base data
- Concert dates marked as "public"
- Board and choir director from member data with choir roles
- Rehearsal location and times from regular rehearsal events
- Contact data from the base data
So you do not maintain anything twice — when something changes in Chorilo, the website is automatically up to date.
What you can additionally customize
- Hero image for the home page
- Custom texts (e.g. "About us")
- Color theme and typography
- Photo gallery with concert photos
- News area with posts
- Audio samples (embedded)
- Social media links
- GDPR texts (imprint, privacy)
The detailed editing runs via Administration > Public website > Edit.
Permission
You need the permission ensemble.edit to activate the website. By default the owner and choir director have this access.
Tips
- Activate the website early — even when not everything is perfect. A simple, current website is better than none.
- Maintain concert dates carefully with "public" mark — they are often the most important magnet for website visitors.
- Enter an appealing "About us" text — new interested people often decide here whether they come to an open rehearsal.
- Link the website everywhere: in the mail signature, on concert posters, in the association, on social media.
- If you have or want to buy your own domain (e.g. www.my-choir.com), look at the custom domain feature.
