What is this?

When you open a sheet music piece, you arrive at the central detail page. Here you find everything related to the piece: the PDF preview, audio files for listening, the AI voice trainer, your personal annotations, all tags and folders as well as linked events.

The detail page is also your work area when you practise a piece, prepare it or run through it between rehearsals.

How to open a piece

  1. Go to the Sheet music area via the main menu or the Sheet music tab in the app.
  2. Find the piece — by scrolling, using the search or browsing a folder.
  3. Tap (app) or click (web) on the piece in the list.
  4. The detail page opens. At the top you see title, composer, category and voice assignment.

What you find on the detail page

  • PDF preview — directly in the browser or the app, with zoom, page turn and full screen
  • Audio player — when listening examples are stored, single or multiple
  • Voice trainer — AI-extracted individual voices for singing along, when enabled
  • Annotations — your personal notes drawn on the PDF
  • Tags and folders — see which structures the piece belongs to
  • Linked events — all rehearsals and performances where this piece is or was played
  • Edit button — if you have permission, you can change title, composer, voices or tags
  • License info — if stored, you see performance rights and the license code

Permission

To open a piece you need the sheet_music.view permission. By default all members have it. However, if you are not assigned to the voice the piece belongs to, you may not see it in your overview at all.

Tips

  • Tap the full-screen icon in the PDF preview to view the score large and distraction-free while practising.
  • Use the audio file for first run-throughs — many members learn voices faster when they hear the piece as a whole first.
  • Add annotations generously — they are only for you and you can change or delete them at any time.
  • Load pieces in the app once before the rehearsal starts, so you have them ready even without WiFi.

Frequently asked questions

Does opening also work offline in the app?
Yes. Once you have opened a piece in the app, it is stored locally. You can view the PDF and audio later without internet — ideal for rehearsals in rooms without WiFi.
Can I add annotations on the detail page?
Yes. Right inside the PDF preview you can draw personal notes, slashes and breath marks. Annotations are visible only to you and stay saved.
What do I see while a piece is being uploaded?
During processing Chorilo shows a notice. As soon as the file is ready (usually within a few seconds), the preview appears automatically — you do not need to reload the page.
