The association menu in the header lets you switch between choir and association area. All association functions are bundled here.

What is this?

The Association menu is the central entry point to the association portal. It appears in the header at the top — usually next to the choir switcher — as soon as you are registered as association staff. Through this menu you switch from the choir area to the association area and reach all association functions.

How to use the association menu

  1. Look in the header for the association logo or the association switcher.
  2. Click the menu — a dropdown opens with all association functions.
  3. Choose the area you want, like dashboard, staff, settings, member choirs, requests or announcements.
  4. Back to the choir: through the same switcher, click one of your choirs again to return to the familiar choir area.

What is in the association menu

  • Dashboard — overview of all important association data
  • Staff — who has admin rights in the association
  • Settings — association data, logo, description
  • Sub-associations — hierarchy of district, state and federal bodies
  • Ensembles — list of all member choirs
  • Requests — open join requests
  • Announcements — write association announcements and archive

Permission

The association menu is only visible if you are registered as staff with the permission association.manage in at least one association. Members who are only in a member choir do not see the menu.

Tips

  • Watch the colors: in the association area the theme color shifts slightly so you always know that you are in the association portal and are not making changes in the regular choir area.
  • If you switch frequently between choir and association, use browser tabs: one tab for your choir, one for the association — that way you do not lose context.

Why do I not see an association menu in the header?
The association menu only appears if you are registered as association staff with the permission association.manage. Ask your association board to add you under Association menu > Staff.
I work in several associations at the same time — how do I switch?
If you are staff in multiple associations, the association menu shows all of them as a selection. Pick the one you want and you land in its association portal.
Does the association menu also work in the app?
The association portal is currently only usable on the web. In the mobile app, as a choir member, you only see incoming association announcements — not the association management.
