What is this?

The Association announcements overview is the central workspace for association communication. Here you see all previously published association announcements, can write new ones and continue editing drafts.

Association announcements differ from internal choir notifications: they go from the association to all member choirs — they are the official communication channel of the umbrella body.

How to use the overview

  1. Open Association menu > Announcements.
  2. Browse the list of all announcements, sorted by publication date.
  3. Click an announcement to see content, recipients and any reactions.
  4. Click "New announcement" to write a new one.
  5. Edit drafts via the actions menu, if available.

What you see per announcement

  • Title and preview of the content
  • Publication date (or "Draft")
  • Recipient count (e.g. "to 47 member choirs")
  • Attachments like PDFs, images or program flyers
  • Status (published, scheduled, draft)

Permission

You open the overview with association.manage. Member choirs see their own association announcements view via the bell icon or the Notifications area — not this association management view.

Tips

  • Keep announcements focused — one announcement per topic (e.g. "Invitation to the AGM", "New funding programs 2026") is clearer than bundled messages.
  • Use attachments sparingly — short announcements with linked documents tend to be read more than long walls of text.
  • Plan announcements ahead — especially around the start of a season, festivals or funding deadlines, member choirs want to be informed in good time.

Frequently asked questions

How many announcements should an association send per year?
There is no hard rule — typical is 4 to 12 per year. What matters is relevance: each announcement should have a clear reason behind it, otherwise recipients eventually stop reading.
Can member choirs read older announcements later?
Yes. Member choirs have access to their own association announcements archive and can review every received announcement there — even weeks or months later.
Can I see who has read an announcement?
Currently we do not show personal read statistics to associations. Only the publication itself and how many choirs it was sent to are visible.
