Open notification
Open a notification to see the full text, attachments, comments, reactions and polls and to interact yourself.
What is this?
When you click or tap an entry in the notifications overview, the detail view of the notification opens. Here you see the full content — text, attachments, poll, comments and reactions — and can take part actively.
The detail view shows you:
- Full text of the notification with formatting
- Author, publication time and "edited" hint if changed
- Attachments with preview and download
- Poll with current votes and your status
- Comments by other members in the discussion thread
- Reactions with emoji and counts
How to open a notification
- Open the Notifications area in the main menu or tap the Notifications tab in the app.
- Tap or click the desired entry in the list.
- Read the full text and scroll down to see attachments, poll and comments.
- React or comment directly from the detail view.
- Close the view with the back arrow or close icon — the notification stays in your overview and now counts as read.
What you can do in the detail view
In the detail view you have several actions available:
- Download attachment — open or save the file directly in the browser or app
- Take part in the poll — pick one or more options depending on the configuration
- Write a comment — leave a reply or question
- React with an emoji — quick feedback without a comment
- Archive the notification — remove from your personal overview
- Edit or delete the notification — only for your own notifications or with the corresponding permission
Permission
You need the notifications.view permission to open notifications. It is assigned by default to all active members. Notifications are also only shown if you belong to the recipient group — either "all members" or a selection that includes you.
Tips
- For notifications with attachments also read the attachments — important details (score scan, directions, program) are often not in the main text.
- Answer questions from comments promptly when you posed them yourself — that keeps the discussion fair.
- React rather than comment when you only want to signal agreement — that keeps discussions tidy.
- Use the app on the go: notifications including attachments are also viewable offline once you have opened them.
