Scan tickets via QR code

What is this?

With the ticket scanner in the Chorilo app you check the validity of tickets at concert entry. You simply scan the QR code on the ticket — the app shows immediately whether the ticket is valid and whether it has already been redeemed.

That way you get through entry without paper lists, Excel tables and waiting times.

How to scan tickets

1. Open the Chorilo app on your smartphone.
2. Go to the Events tab and pick the relevant concert event.
3. Tap "Ticket scanner".
4. Allow access to the camera if not already granted.
5. Hold the camera over the QR code of the ticket.
6. The app shows immediately:
   • Green: ticket valid — admit the guest
   • Red: ticket invalid or already scanned — needs clarification
   • Yellow: ticket is for another event
7. For valid tickets, the guest is automatically marked as "checked in".

• Remaining tickets in the guest list

Working with several helpers in parallel

Multiple helpers can scan at the same time with their own smartphones. All devices sync in real time — no ticket can be redeemed twice.

Permission

You need events.edit to use the ticket scanner. By default the choir director, the board and people with an event management role have this permission. If needed, the choir director can temporarily add more helpers.

Tips

• Onboard helpers in time before entry begins and check their app permissions.
• Make sure the entrance is well lit — the camera finds QR codes faster in good light.
• Keep the phone well charged or use a power bank — scanning drains the battery.
• For internet issues: load the guest list before entry begins, then scanning works offline too.
