What is this?

The audio player in the PDF viewer plays audio examples for the current piece directly under the sheet music. With the tempo control and the loop range you can practice difficult passages slowly in a targeted way — all without leaving the score.

Use

  1. Open the PDF in the Sheet music tab
  2. Tap the audio icon in the toolbar
  3. Choose a file from the list — all audio files assigned to the piece
  4. Tap play — the player appears with controls

Features

  • Tempo control 50-200% — practice slower, pitch is preserved (time-stretch)
  • Loop — defined range (start + end marker) is repeated endlessly
  • Skip controls — forward/back by 5 or 10 seconds
  • Volume can be set independently
  • Pitch shift (optional, if the file allows it)
  • Background playback — audio keeps playing with the app in the background

When is it useful?

  • Practice at home — sing your voice along with the audio example
  • Slowly learn a difficult passage — reduce tempo to 60%, drill it, gradually increase
  • Loop for repetition — e.g. play a chorus over and over
  • Hear pronunciation precisely — for foreign-language texts, play slowly
  • Get used to the original tempo — listen ahead of the rehearsal

Tips

  • Bluetooth headphones for distraction-free practice
  • Use the loop instead of rewinding manually — set markers, the app does the loop
  • Increase tempo step by step — 60% > 70% > 80% > ... > 100%
  • Add multiple audio files — original + slow practice version
  • With tempo distortion — turn off pitch shift, then sound quality stays better

Frequently asked questions

Which audio formats are supported?
MP3, M4A, WAV — that is, all common formats. Upload happens via Sheet music > Piece > Add audio.
What is the difference to the voice trainer?
The voice trainer extracts individual voice tracks from a recording with AI (e.g. soprano only). The audio player plays an existing file without separating it.
Does the player work offline?
Yes, if you have saved the piece offline — the audio files are downloaded along with it.
