Enable push notifications
Enable push notifications for your Chorilo app so you do not miss anything important — new events, notifications, chats and reminders.
App
Tab Profil›Benachrichtigungen›Push
Diese Funktion ist nur in der Mobile-App verfügbar.
What is this?
Push notifications are short messages sent directly to your smartphone — even when the Chorilo app is not open. That way you do not miss any new events, notifications or reminders.
Pushes are free and you control exactly what should reach you.
How to enable pushes
On first app launch
When you first open the app, it asks you whether to allow push notifications. Tap "Allow" — you can fine-tune everything else later.
If you declined the first time
- Open the system settings of your smartphone.
- iOS: Settings > Notifications > Chorilo > enable "Allow notifications".
- Android: Settings > Apps > Chorilo > Notifications > "Allow all".
- Return to the Chorilo app.
Control per category inside the app
- Open the Profile tab in the app.
- Tap "Notifications".
- Switch to "Push".
- Enable or disable individual categories:
- New events
- Event reminders
- Event reschedules
- Notifications
- Chat messages
- Task assignments
- Invitations
Which pushes make sense
- Event reminders — helps you not forget rehearsals and performances
- Chat messages — quick communication with other members
- Notifications — important announcements from the choir director or board
- Task assignments — when something is assigned to you
When to switch pushes off
- During rehearsal breaks or concerts — via "Do not disturb" on your phone
- During vacation or downtime — temporarily off completely
- With too many pushes — fine-tune per category
Permission
No special permission required — pushes are available to every member.
Tips
- Enable pushes right after installing the app — that is the easiest way.
- Use category control instead of switching pushes off completely — that way you only get what is important to you.
- On iPhone: allow push on the lock screen so you see what matters at a glance.
- On Android: group Chorilo pushes in their own notification category for a better overview.
Frequently asked questions
Which push messages do I get?▾
New events, notifications, chat messages, event reminders, task assignments and important actions like invitations. You can set per category what should reach you.
Can I switch push notifications off again?▾
Yes, any time. In the profile under Notifications you switch them off completely or per category. You can also disable them for the entire app in the device settings.
Why do I get no pushes although everything is on?▾
Check the device settings: is "Do not disturb" active? Are pushes for Chorilo allowed system-wide? Toggling the app permission off and on in the operating system often helps too.
