What is this?
With Upload sheet music you make a new piece available in your publisher catalog. You enter title info, PDF, description and price — after a short review by the Chorilo team the piece appears in the shop and is purchasable by choirs.
How to upload a new piece
- Open the "My sheet music" area and click "Add new title".
- Enter the master data:
- Title of the piece
- Composer and possibly arranger
- Genre and occasion
- Voicing (SATB, TTBB, SSAA etc.)
- Difficulty level (1-5)
- Key and duration
- Add a description — short text on content, occasion, performance recommendations.
- Upload files:
- PDF of the full score (required)
- Preview pages (generated automatically, can be adjusted)
- Audio sample (MP3, optional)
- Cover image (optional, recommended: 800x800 px)
- Define license packages and prices:
- Flat license or volume license
- Price per license or per singer
- Click "Submit for review".
- The Chorilo team reviews the title — you are informed by email when approved.
What happens after upload
- Status is initially "Under review"
- After 1-2 business days approval or query
- Once approved: status "Active" and visible in the shop
- Purchases automatically trigger sales and payout entries
Permission
Every member of the publisher team has access.
Tips
- Watch for clean PDFs — well-readable scores sell better.
- Listen to the audio sample yourself — a short, well-recorded sample significantly increases sales chances.
- Use clear descriptions with occasions, difficulty and special stylistic features — choir directors pick fitting pieces more easily that way.
- Upload high-resolution cover images for a professional appearance in the shop.
Frequently asked questions
Which file formats are supported for the scores?▾
The main format is PDF. Optionally you can upload MusicXML for interactive previews, MIDI for learning tools and audio samples (MP3). Preview images are generated automatically from the PDF.
Who reviews uploaded scores?▾
New titles are briefly reviewed by the Chorilo team for completeness and license clarity before becoming visible in the shop. That usually takes 1-2 business days.
Can I offer multiple license options?▾
Yes. Per title you can create different license packages — for example a flat license for unlimited singers or volume licenses depending on choir size.
