What is this?
With Edit project you adjust the master data of an existing project. You can change name, description, main choir and time range any time — for example when the concert date shifts or the project is renamed.
Events, members and scores stay untouched by editing.
How to edit a project
- Open the "Projects" area and click the desired project.
- Pick "Edit project" (top right or in the three-dot menu).
- Adjust the desired fields:
- Name — e.g. after a renaming
- Description — new occasion or program update
- Main choir — if responsibility changes
- Start and end date — when shifted
- Click "Save" — the changes are visible immediately.
When you should edit
- For program changes — new pieces or adjustments
- For schedule shifts — concert is moved
- For changes in responsibility — new main choir takes over
- For typos or outdated descriptions
Permission
You need projects.edit to edit project master data. By default project leads and the board have this permission.
Tips
- Inform members about larger changes with a short notification or in the project chat.
- Keep the description current — it is the project''s business card for new members.
- Use clear date ranges — start and end of the project are important for planning.
Frequently asked questions
Do members see changes immediately?▾
Yes. As soon as you save, all project members see the updated data. For larger changes a short notification is recommended.
Can I change the main choir later?▾
Yes, that is possible. Note, however, that this can shift management responsibilities — clarify it with those involved beforehand.
Are events affected by editing?▾
No. Events, members and scores remain unchanged — you only change the project master data.
