Mark a notification as done and hide it from the active list. It stays findable in the archive at any time.

What is this?

With Archive you move a completed notification from your active list to your personal archive. The notification stays fully preserved and is findable at any time — it just no longer takes space in the daily overview.

Useful e.g. after a poll you participated in, or an association announcement whose registration link you have already used.

How to archive a notification

  1. Open the notification via the bell icon or the Notifications area.
  2. Click the actions menu (three dots, usually top right).
  3. Choose "Archive".
  4. The notification disappears from your active list immediately.

How to bring an archived notification back

  1. Switch to the Notifications area.
  2. Set the filter to "Archive".
  3. Find the desired notification.
  4. Click the actions menu > "Restore from archive".

Permission

Archiving is a personal action — no special permission needed, and it only takes effect for you.

Tips

  • Use archiving as a zen method — when your notifications list gets too long, archive everything you have completed. So only open items remain visible.
  • Do not confuse archiving with deleting — deleted means lost, archived can be restored. When in doubt rather archive.
  • If a notification does not concern you at all, archiving can be a good first step. In the long run it is worthwhile to check in the notification settings whether you really want to follow that area.

Is archiving the same as deleting?▾
No. Archived notifications remain fully preserved and are findable at any time in the archive area or via search. They are only out of your active list.
Does the board see that I archived a notification?▾
No. Archiving is a private action and not visible to other members. Even the board only sees whether the notification has been read — not whether it is archived for you.
Can I bring an archived notification back?▾
Yes. In the archive you can bring notifications back to "active" at any time if you want to see them in your main list again.
