What is this?

With the Create choir function you start a new choir on Chorilo. You are guided through a setup wizard that asks for the most important basic settings — afterwards you can immediately invite members, plan events and manage sheet music.

The first choir can be tested free for 30 days, all features are unlocked immediately.

How to create your first choir

Click "Choirs" in the main menu and then "+ Create ensemble" at the top right.
Enter the choir name, optionally country and city.
Upload a logo (optional, you can also do this later).
Choose the voice configuration: mixed choir (SATB), male choir (TTBB), female choir (SSAA), children's choir or custom configuration.
Click "Create choir".
You land in the setup wizard that guides you step by step through the most important settings: voice sections, venue, permission groups, invite first members.
Once the basics are set, you can create the first event and invite members.

What happens after creation

You automatically become choir director and have full rights
A confirmation email goes out to you with a summary
The 30-day trial starts — no credit card needed
In the dashboard you see the choir and can start immediately

Permission

No special permission needed — every registered Chorilo user can create a choir. There is also no limit to how many choirs an individual person can create.

Tips

Create the choir exactly as it is named — the name appears on public pages, in invitations and in the music shop.
Use the setup wizard fully — it saves time later because all basics are configured correctly once.
Invite a few members right away so the choir comes alive and you can test the features in real operation.

Frequently asked questions

Does creating a choir cost anything?▾

You can test your choir for 30 days free of charge and without obligation. After that you choose a fitting plan based on the member count. While the trial runs, everything is unlocked.

Can I change the choir name or logo later?▾

Yes, at any time under Choirs > Open choir > Settings > Edit choir. The voice configuration and all other settings can also be adjusted later.

Who automatically becomes choir director?▾

You as creator automatically get full permission as choir director. Additional choir directors or board members you can add later via permission group administration.
