Reset password

What is this?

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it yourself via the "Forgot password" function. You receive an email with a secure link via which you set a new password.

For security reasons we do not see your old password and cannot share it — resetting is the only way.

How to reset your password

1. Click "Forgot password?" below the login form on the sign-in page.
2. Enter the email address you registered with at Chorilo.
3. Click "Send link".
4. Open your email inbox and look for the message from Chorilo with the subject "Reset password".
5. Click "Set new password" in the email body.
6. Enter your new password (at least 8 characters) and confirm.
7. Click "Save password" — afterwards you can sign in with the new password.

What happens to other devices?

For security reasons all other devices signed in with your account are signed out automatically. You have to sign in once on each device with the new password.

Permission

No special permission needed — the function is open to every registered Chorilo user.

Tips

• Choose a strong new password and avoid old or obvious combinations.
• Use a password manager so you do not have to remember the password.
• If you do not get an email, check the spam folder and otherwise write to support — the link otherwise arrives within a few seconds.
