Create new request

What is this?

With Create request you send the Chorilo team and the community a new idea for a feature. Other users can vote and comment on it — and the team decides based on popularity and effort whether and when the request is implemented.

Well-formulated requests with a clear use case have the best chances.

How to submit a request

1. Open the "New features" area in the main menu.
2. First search by keywords — does your request already exist?
3. If not, click "Create new request".
4. Fill in the form:
   • Title — short and concise, max one line
   • Description — problem, desired solution, use case
   • Area — where should the feature be located (events, sheet music, members…)
   • Attachments (optional) — screenshots, sketches, mockups
5. Click "Submit request".
6. Your request appears immediately in the overview — you have automatically voted for it yourself.

What makes a good request

• Concrete problem: what does not work well currently?
• Suggested solution: how would you like it?
• Use case: in what concrete situation does this help?
• Added value: why do other choirs benefit too?

Permission

No permission required — every Chorilo user can submit requests.

Tips

• Write from the user perspective, not the developer perspective — describe the problem, not the technical implementation.
• Keep the title catchy — it must be understandable at a glance in a list.
• Use images or sketches when you have complex UI ideas — an image often says more than a paragraph of text.
• Share your request with other members or choirs so it collects votes.
