What is this?
With Comment on request you join the discussion on a feature request. You can share use cases, add solution suggestions or ask follow-up questions — addressed to other users or the Chorilo team.
A good discussion helps the team understand requests better and implement them sensibly.
How to comment
- Open the "New features" area and click the desired request.
- Scroll to the "Comments" section below the description.
- Type your comment in the input field.
- Click "Submit comment".
- Your comment appears immediately and is shown to all participants.
What you can do in the comments
- Share use cases — how would the feature concretely help you
- Add examples — screenshots, mockups, similar solutions from other tools
- Ask follow-up questions — to the submitter or the team
- Edit or delete your own comments — for typos or new insights
- Reply to other comments for structured discussions
Permission
No permission required — every Chorilo user can comment. The team reserves the right to remove inappropriate comments.
What makes a good comment
- Constructive and respectful — even with criticism
- Concrete and to the point — avoid vague statements
- Solution-oriented — propose alongside problems
- Factual — the tone stays polite even when you disagree
Tips
- React to replies — discussions live from back and forth.
- Send examples from your choir, that makes the argument very concrete.
- Be fair to the submitter — they took the trouble with the idea.
- Mark yourself as voter when you join the discussion in comments — that gives your argument weight.

Do I get notifications about new comments?▾
Yes. If you have submitted or voted on a request, you receive push and email notifications about new comments — provided you have notifications enabled.
Can comments be deleted?▾
Your own comments you can delete at any time. For violations against the community tone, the Chorilo team can also remove comments of other users.
Does the Chorilo team reply in the comments?▾
Yes, regularly — especially on requests with many votes or status changes. Team replies are specially marked.
