Show jubilees & birthdays

What is this?

The Jubilees widget shows you upcoming birthdays and membership jubilees in the choir. So you do not forget any important occasion to congratulate or honor — e.g. for a member's 25-year choir jubilee.

The widget is especially useful for board and choir director who organize birthday wishes, honors or small attentions.

What you see in the widget

• Name and photo of the jubilee member
• Occasion — birthday or membership year
• Date — when to celebrate
• Days until the occasion — visually highlighted, the closer the more striking

The widget shows the next 30 days by default. Earlier occasions disappear automatically after the date.

How to use the jubilees list

1. Open the dashboard and scroll to the "Jubilees" block.
2. Click an entry to open the member profile with all contact details.
3. Send a personal message or a card for the birthday — directly from Chorilo.
4. Plan bigger honors — e.g. for a 25-year membership jubilee — via the member administration as an event or announcement.

Permission

You need the permission members.view_birthdays for the widget to appear. By default the choir director, board and administrators have this. Members without this permission do not see the jubilees list.

Tips

• Plan birthday greetings into your weekly plan — a short personal message delights every member.
• Use round membership jubilees for the AGM — honors for 10, 25 or 50 years are real appreciation.
• Export jubilees yearly so you do not forget any occasion in the calendar.
