Global search (across everything)
Search instantly with Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) for members, events, sheet music, notifications and chats — all from one input.
Diese Funktion ist nur im Web verfügbar.
What is this?
The Global search is your fastest way to find something in Chorilo. With one keystroke — Cmd+K on Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux — a search field opens that searches in parallel across all areas: members, events, sheet music, notifications, chats and documents.
Instead of clicking through navigation, you simply type the search term and jump directly to the hit.
How to use the global search
- Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) — the search field opens anywhere in Chorilo.
- Alternatively click the magnifier icon in the header.
- Type your search term — name of a member, title of an event, piece name, word from a notification.
- The hits appear immediately grouped by category.
- Choose the result with mouse or arrow keys + Enter — you land directly at the destination.
What you can search
- Members — by name, email, phone number
- Events — by title, date, venue
- Sheet music — by title, composer, key
- Notifications — by title and text content
- Chats — messages and participants
- Venues — rehearsal room, concert hall
- Documents — files from your choir
How the results are sorted
Hits are sorted by relevance. Hits with the search term in the title or name appear before hits where the word only appears in text. Current content is preferred over older content.
Permission
No special permission — every member can use the global search. You only see content you have access to per permission group.
Tips
- Memorize Cmd+K / Ctrl+K — it saves many clicks in the long run.
- Search with unusual words, then the result list is short and precise.
- Search by phone number or email if you do not know a member's name — that also works.
- Type fragments — the search also finds substrings, you do not have to type the whole word.
