What is this?

With Upload photo you add new images to an existing photo album. You can upload single images or whole batches at once — particularly handy after a concert or rehearsal weekend when many photos need to be brought in together.

The images appear in the album immediately and are visible to all members — for public albums also on the website.

How to upload photos

In the web

  1. Open the "Photos" area and click the album.
  2. Click "Upload photo" or drag and drop the images into the album.
  3. Pick the photos in your file browser or just drop them.
  4. The upload starts automatically — you see a progress bar per photo.
  5. Once all are uploaded, they are visible in the album immediately.

In the mobile app

  1. Open the "Photos" tab and tap the desired album.
  2. Tap "Add photo" or the plus icon.
  3. Allow access to your photo gallery if not already granted.
  4. Pick one or more photos.
  5. Tap "Upload" — the upload runs in the background.

Recommendations

  • Format: JPG is best, smaller file size at high quality
  • Size: up to 25 MB per photo, larger ones are compressed
  • Resolution: at least 1920x1080 for sharp display on large screens
  • Quality: rather a few good photos than many blurry ones

Permission

You need photo_albums.edit to upload photos. By default choir directors, the board and photo administrators have this permission.

Tips

  • Sort and pick the best photos before uploading — quality beats quantity.
  • Upload photos shortly after the occasion while interest is still high.
  • Caption the photos right after upload — for example who and what is shown.
