Delete album

What is this?

With Delete album you remove a photo album permanently along with all photos it contains. This action cannot be undone — deleted images are gone.

Deletion is suitable when an album was created by mistake, exists in duplicate or its content is no longer needed.

How to delete an album

1. Open the "Photos" area and click the album.
2. Pick "Delete album" (in the three-dot menu or under "Edit album").
3. Confirm the safety prompt.
4. The album and all photos are removed immediately.

Check before deleting

• Are there photos you want to keep? > Download them beforehand
• Was the album public? > Content disappears from the website immediately
• Are there links to notifications or events? > Those become invalid

Alternative: only delete individual photos

If only specific photos should go, delete them individually through the photo detail view. That way the album remains with the rest.

Permission

You need photo_albums.edit to delete albums. By default choir directors, the board and photo administrators have this permission.

Tips

• Download the most important photos beforehand — gone is gone.
• For public albums: take the link off the website or out of emails beforehand if you have linked to it externally.
• Use "Set visibility to internal" instead when you only want to take the album off the public side but keep it for members.
