Edit album

What is this?

With Edit album you adjust the basic data of an existing photo album. You can change title, description, occasion date, cover photo and visibility any time — for example to name the occasion more precisely or to switch the visibility.

The photos themselves remain — editing only affects the album properties.

How to edit an album

1. Open the "Photos" area and click the desired album.
2. Click "Edit album" (top right or in the three-dot menu).
3. Adjust the desired fields:
   • Title — new name of the album
   • Description — short text about the occasion
   • Date — when the occasion took place
   • Cover photo — pick one of the album photos
   • Visibility — internal or public
4. Click "Save" — the changes are visible immediately.

What you cannot edit directly

• Move individual photos between albums — currently only via re-upload
• Photo order — photos are sorted by upload date
• Who uploaded which photo — this info stays unchangeable

Permission

You need photo_albums.edit to edit albums. By default choir directors, the board and photo administrators have this permission.

Tips

• Maintain descriptions carefully, especially for public albums — they give visitors context.
• Pick a meaningful cover — the first photo members and visitors see shapes the impression.
• Set visibility to public only after consultation — privacy is important especially with photos of people.
